Welcome to Embry-Riddle's beautiful western campus in the mountains of Northern Arizona...
On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of Embry-Riddle's beautiful western campus in the mountains of Northern Arizona, welcome!
Here, we bring together the best and brightest students from all 50 states and over 40 foreign countries to succeed in a wide variety of demanding degree programs in a student-focused and personal university environment. Here, students are not just a number. Rather, they are the focus of all we do. We make it a point to know their names, are proud of their achievements, and are pleased to provide an exceptional and rigorous learning environment. Our faculty are the absolute best in their fields, most with many years of real-life industry experience, and our staff are incredibly committed to student success. Our focus on hands-on, project-based, experiential learning routinely takes our students all over the world, and to internships and partnerships with a who's who of aviation, security, intelligence, business, and government, and they participate in a myriad of specialized projects and competitions.
This is the way a university education was always supposed to be: personal, student-focused, and totally immersive. Welcome to the Embry-Riddle Family!
Embry-Riddle is constantly building on its tradition of excellence by innovating and improving to meet the needs of our students, industry, and the nation. In just the last couple of years, the Prescott Campus has seen the remodeling of the athletic complex and fitness center, placing aerobics, weights, and exercise facilities all under one roof, as well as the new student locker and shower facilities; added 6 intercollegiate sports and men's and women’s basketball to bring our total to eleven, joining (and dominating) the CalPac conference; added programs in Astronomy, Business Administration, Cyber Intelligence and Security, two Forensic programs, Global Business, Simulation Science, Gaming and Animation, Software Engineering, Unmanned Aerial Systems and a Master’s Degree in Security and Intelligence; and founded the nation’s first College of Security and Intelligence, housed in the remodeled Glen A. Doherty Center for Security and Intelligence Studies—named after an Embry-Riddle alumnus who was killed serving his country in the Benghazi tragedy. On the horizon are new residence halls, a new science building, and a continuation of expansions in academic and athletic programs. It is an exciting time to be an Eagle.
Our Golden Eagles Flight Team has won the past 29 consecutive regional championships and are ten-time national champions. It’s official – they are the “winningest” team in the nation over the last two decades. The campus supported many competitive engineering and design teams which launched rockets in Utah, flew competitive unmanned aerial systems in Maryland and Kansas, and many other events. The Eagle Prize and our Ignite undergraduate research initiative are designed to get you involved with hands-on activities right away. Our Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Business Club wrapped up its 10th consecutive State of Arizona business competition title and dominated by collecting the largest number of first-place finishes as well as the largest number of total first, second and third place awards. You can be a part of that team!
Embry-Riddle’s Prescott Campus is just a great place to be: from the beautiful mountain scenery, abundant sunshine, mild four-season climate, and the outdoor activities it affords to the world-class students and faculty that inspire us every day.
My wife, Debbie, and I look forward to seeing all of the great things you will do as a part of the Embry-Riddle Family!
